So I know that you want to feel fabulous and free in your body… AND you also want to know how to feel and stay young forever! I also know that there seem to be endless diets, programs, and trendy new supplements that claim they will help you get these feelings.
Today, I am going to look outside the box for a different type of solution. No crash diets that leave you with zero energy and feeling irritated, no extensive (and exhausting) workout programs with weird moves, and no strange fruity seeds or potions will be consumed.
Our bodies are so smart that when we are stressed or not giving ourselves what we need spiritually (such as fun or play time), hormones are released that do not allow us to burn excess fat, that make us hold ON to fat, and most importantly our bodies become acidic so minerals are literally taken from our muscles, bones, and other organs to keep our blood at a safe pH. If we consistently are stressed, we will go into adrenal burnout, and will not only feel badly because of our stress that is poorly managed, we will feel badly that we are overweight and unhealthy inside and out, AND our risk for developing major health problems increases. Disease can only be created in an acidic environment. Staying more alkaline and eating alkalizing foods is one of the secret keys to health and longevity. Naturally, this is the first way to feel fabulous and free in your own body: by taking excellent physical care of it! Specifically, by consuming high quantities of minerals- from foods if possible. The ‘fountain of youth’ foods packed with the mineral SODIUM (Na+) - not to be confused with SODIUM CHLORIDE (NaCl), which is common table salt and HIGHLY toxic to your body- are carrots, celery, and cabbage.
If you juice these a few times weekly, you will notice a change in your skin, energy level, and mood, usually immediately after. Use all organic if possible. These foods are also highly anti carcinogenic, meaning they help prevent cancer, especially the cabbage. These foods and minerals also counteract inflammation and the aging process. The other Miracle Minerals are Calcium and Magnesium. These 2 minerals help to RELAX our bodies and all of our body’s systems including digestion, our nervous systems, and more. Many times people cannot go to the bathroom, get migraines, feel tense or anxious, and it’s simply due to the lack of these 2 minerals. Get Calcium from dark leafy greens (NOT dairy, as it makes you acidic) and Magnesium from tomatoes, cashews or dark chocolate (yah!!!). If you cannot eat enough of these things or do not like them, go for a PLANT BASED supplement of each of these. Tip: take at bedtime for a more restful sleep.
Secondly, wipe out those stressors or look at situations differently. Life is short, and you get one chance in this body to make the most of it, have the most energy, and feel amazing. It is up to you- YOU are in charge. Do what you need to do to put yourself back in control of your life. Invest in yourself and support systems and people who support this uplifting type of lifestyle…. not crazed workaholics or negative nellies… we all know a few of those! Detox yourself from people and situations that don’t energize or inspire you. Do it for your health!
Last, add some body opening exercises into your daily routine. Yoga or simple stretching can open up physical or emotional stored blockages that have been there for years. Breathe deeply as you are doing this and watch the magic happen! Your nervous system will relax with only 5 minutes per day of this routine.
