In this city of constant overwork and over stimulus, I believe that it is imperative to find a meditative state of movement. In this two hour inward healing restorative workshop, where multiple props (bolsters, blankets, straps, blocks, sandbags) will be used to support the body, you will be lead through a series of postures entirely focused on hips and backbends as a doorway to open and expand the organ closest to your soul, the heart.
Each posture will be held longer than in a regular Hatha class - around 7/10 minutes per pose while being offered Reiki energy healing.
The dynamic of the class will be meditative, focusing on pranayama and using the breath to find opening and ease in the body. The fusion of reiki and restorative poses combine for a powerful experience of healing and ultimate relaxation. You do not need to have any previous experience with reiki or with restorative yoga to attend. The practice will be sealed with guided meditation and yoga nidra. Bring a heart ready to soar.
