Medicine bags are ancient tools used to carry and protect your sacred herbs and other sacred objects. In this class you will learn how to craft your own medicine bag. Please bring anything you would like to add, crystals, feathers, beads, sage, tobacco, cedar, copal etc. Each medicine bag is imbued with your own special energy. Together we will create the sacred container that empowers your creative process. Please arrive on time and bring water and a snack.
This idea was created with the intention of bringing people together, to work with our hands in a meditative way that promotes inner peace. These traditional crafts were given to all people, to return us to the heart of humanity, mother earth and the heart of the cosmos. All of these arts are here to unlock doors within us, and allow us to relax into the beauty of life.

RUNNING STRONG’s program involvement reaches far and wide. With our longstanding partnerships in Indian Country, we work to create sustainable change in Native communities. Our focus areas include safe housing, basic needs, culture and language preservation, emergency assistance programs, organic gardens and food, schools and youth centers, women’s health, and seasonal programs. We implement our own programs but we also support independent groups who align with our mission, such as nonprofits, community centers, and grassroots projects.

MADE IN PRAYER is an educational program that focuses on the development of the Sacred Arts. Together we will explore what it means to create sacred tools and works of art with intention and purpose. The skills learned in this program are intended to empower the individual through artistic exploration guided by spirit.
